Resumen

En este documento se hace una revisión de algunos de los problemas globales ocasionados por la emisión de gases nocivos a la atmósfera, principalmente como consecuencia del consumo de combustibles fósiles. Se dan ejemplos sobre el empleo de tecnologías catalílicas para la disminución de dichos contaminantes y se presentan los retos de estas tecnologías para finales del siglo presente y comienzos del próximo.
