Revisión del estado actual de resinas compuestas bulk-fill

Resumen

Recientemente han aparecido las resinas compuestas bulk-fill (RBFs), las cuales, de acuerdo a los fabricantes, se podrían utilizar para restaurar cavidades en incrementos de 4-5 mm. Esto significaría probablemente una simplificación importante de la técnica, con respecto a la técnica incremental. Sin embargo, las propiedades y modos de empleo de las RBFs varían significativamente entre ellas. Además, debido a su corta data de aparición en el mercado, todavía existe una escasez de estudios clínicos que avalen el desempeño clínico de estos materiales. Este artículo tiene como objetivo realizar una revisión del estado del arte de la literatura disponible en la base de datos Medline/Pubmed y ScIELO, publicados entre los años 2000 al 2014, detallándose la composición, clasificación y los resultados de las investigaciones publicadas actualmente.
