Abstract

El texto es una reseña al libro El poder de los impotentes. Representaciones de los educadores sobre el castigo fíco. En este libro, resultado de su tesis doctoral hace un llamado a quienes tenemos en nuestras manos la formación de las nuevas generaciones; a  quienes velan por el cumplimiento de los derechos de los niños y a quienes legislan para que cuiden las maneras de nombrar porque no es lo mismo que en las leyes colombianas aparezca de manera explícita la prohibición de cualquier forma de castigo físico a los niños, que decir “sanción moderada”. Es una invitación para que los educadores puedan vérselas con los límites propios de la educación, sin recurrir al castigo físico y puedan inventar otras formas de relación, de educación distintas al golpe.
