Colombian Wind Bands

Colombian children and teenagers are form through districtal programs for the purpose of change the mind and reduce violence. With this, they are invited to promote the arts, and specifically to cultivate music. It is no coincidence that there have chosen wind bands to achieve this purpose, because wind bands are a collective instrumental organization which involved teamwork, unity, discipline and perseverance. Colombian wind bands have been defined as “Music for Colombia's Peace”, and have also become one of the axis of the cultural policies of the Colombian state.
