Don Marceliano Posada, miembro muy distinguido de la Sociedad Antropológica de Antioquia y de la Academia Antioqueña de Historia, es un botánico de muy definidas preocupaciones de investigador, inclusive en el campo de las letras, pues que maneja el idioma castellano con gran presicion y limpieza, con garra de científico y temperamento de crítico. Colabora hoy en nuestro boletín con un estudio bastante completo del árbol del guayabo, la aplicación industrial de su fruto y sus varias denominaciones dentro del ambiente idiomático
