Estimados amigos, colegas y lectores en general, en esta oportunidad presentamos con gusto el número 54 (volumen 32) del Boletín de Antropología (BDA) en el que, siguiendo una extendida tradición de nuestro Departamento de Antropología de la Universidad de Antioquia, hacemos de la arqueología un importante escenario de reflexión. En esta oportunidad contamos con la colaboración, como editores invitados, de los arqueólogos Juan Carlos Vargas Ruiz (Universidad del Externado de Colombia) y Hugo C Ikehara Tsukayama (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), quienes reúnen en un interesante dossier titulado “la arqueología de la organización de comunidades” uno de los temas que mayor interés despierta en la arqueología contemporánea; exposición que se plantea en el contexto latinoamericano con una perspectiva procesual norteamericana. En este apartado se congregan investigadores de diferentes latitudes, construyendo así un valioso documento de consulta para los investigadores interesados en los estudios comparados.
