CONDICIONANTES ESTADISTICOS DEL TAMAÑO DE LA MUESTRA Y APLICACIONES PARA EL CASO DE TABLAS DE 2 x 2
Abstract
The determination of the sample size is an important requirement in the field of research. This article presents the statistical elements that condition the size of a sample and presents the application of such concepts to the case of analyses to be made on 2 x 2 tables. Paragraphs A, B and C that compose the article were originally presented as three separate complementary and sequential documents.
A.
Sample size. A conceptual approach.
At one point or another in the development of a research project, the researcher must know the size of the sample to be selected. The statistician is the one who must calculate the required sample size, but he cannot perform this task unless the researcher defines some statistical conditions whose meaning must be clearly understood.
