Síndrome de Kounis en envenenamiento por accidente apídico, una revisión narrativa

Resumen

El síndrome de Kounis se define, en general, por la aparición de eventos coronarios agudos asociados a síntomas anafilácticos. A pesar de que su mecanismo fisiopatológico es aún incierto, se ha postulado durante años la actividad vasoespástica coronaria secundaria a hipersensibilidad tipo I como un factor desencadenante. En el contexto de accidente apídico por un ataque masivo de abejas debe considerarse el síndrome de envenenamiento y el efecto de daño miocárdico directo por los componentes del veneno como mecanismo causal.

Recientemente se han reportado casos de síndrome de Kounis en el contexto de infección por SARS-CoV-2. Estos hallazgos abren la posibilidad de que haya otros procesos de lesión implicados, dentro de los que se destacan la tormenta de citoquinas. Esta revisión narrativa pretende examinar los mecanismos de daño en el síndrome de Kounis a partir del envenenamiento por accidente apídico y su relación con el desarrollo de complicaciones a corto plazo.
