Abstract

We report on six colombian patients who suffered between 1 and 4 malaric relapses after infection with Plasmodium vivax; relapses took place between 1 and 13 months after the original episode; the magnitude of this problem is unknown in Colombia; In order to promote Its study and comprehension a short review Is Included on the biology of P. vivax and the possible explanations for relapses.
