Acute pancreatitis in burnt adults has been reported with some frequency; contrariwise, there has been only one report of this complication in a burnt child. We reviewed the medical records of two children with acute pancreatitis as a postburn complication, who were treated at the Burns Unit of the San Vicente de Paúl Hospital, in Medellín, Colombia. As a result, we add two documented cases to the limited literature on this subject.
