El tiempo de humectación en la corrosión atmosférica

Partiendo de las definiciones básicas de corrosión y de corrosión atmosférica se consideran los factores que la afectan. Se reseñan las características de las atmósferas y se muestra que la corrosión atmosférica es un fenómeno electroquímico donde funcionan celdas electródicas con un electrólito que es el agua. Sólo cuando hay agua presente se da el fenómeno corrosivo y por eso el tiempo durante el cual la superficie metálica está húmeda, o tiempo de humectación, es un factor fundamental en la corrosión atmosférica. Se muestra cómo la medición del tiempo de humectación se está atacando con diversas técnicas y cómo este parámetro permitirla predecir el comportamiento corrosivo de los metales.Downloads
