Promotion of community health from virtuality: experience of integrative community therapy in Latin America

This research is mixed; its objective is to analyze the perception of virtual Integrative Community Therapy (ICT) modality as a strategy for the promotion of mental health that arose as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic Information from the TCI, and a focus group with 13 community therapists. Descriptive statistics were used in the quantitative data and analysis by categories for the reports. In the result it was found that 1058 people participated, of which 93.4% were women. Regarding the topics selected to be developed on the wheels, the most frequent have to do with mental suffering (47.3%). Therapists perceive that the objectives of ICT are achieved in the virtual modality, being a valuable strategy for the promotion of mental health with the community. Among its advantages was the possibility of increasing the scope of the population that could participate in the sessions, the integration of international teams of therapists, and easy access to multimedia resources. Among the disadvantages, direct contact is absent, and the problems of internet quality and electrical service in some Latin American countries.
