Maisto, representante permanente de Estado
Unidos ante la organización de los Estados
Americanos (OEA), explicó pocos días antes
de la reunión de ministros continentales que ésta
era la primera vez que los Estado Unidos
enviaban un representante de nivel ministerial
al encuentro, lo que es indicio de “la alta prioridad
que la administración Bush confiere a la
educación y a nuestras relaciones con América
Latina y el Caribe, subrayó.
