Manejo do mundo es un libro ganador del Prêmio Jabuti 2011, en él que se reú- nen contribuciones que trazan un panorama actual de conocimientos y prácticas de los pueblos indígenas del Río Negro en la zona fronteriza de Colombia y Brasil. Algunos autores pioneros definieron que “manejo significa la alteración del medio ambiente para la creación de plantas y/o animales de interés para el hombre. Esta alteración puede ser realizada de muchas formas, según la intensidad de manipulación”
