Abstract. Theater permits an approximation to the notion of the representation of power. We are interested in the representation of indigenous topics in theater, something not examined in Colombia in spite of the existence of quality productions and set design. Unfortunately, the published repertoire is scarce and difficult to access. Imitating European theater tradition, Colombia has developed a solid national theater, especially as regards collective creation and committed theater. In spite of the works of Buenaventura, Fernández Madrid, Díaz Díaz, Reyes, Zapata Olivella, the Ortiz Rojas brothers, among others, the indigenous people continue to wait for a work that raises them from the invisibility they experience in the theater.
