Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) collapsing variant refers to a renal lesion that may be idiopathic or associated to some factors, characterized by glomerular collapse leading to cortico-resistant nephrotic syndrome and chronic progressive renal failure. This glomerulopathy has been scarcely studied in children, but in this age group most cases are idiopathic. In this paper we present a report of 6 cases of collapsing variant of FSGS in children no associated to HIV, which were resistant to immunosuppressive management and with a high mortality
