Soporte nutricional para pacientes con Insuficiencia Renal Aguda (IRA) con o sin Terapias de Reemplazo Renal (TRR)

Resumen

Los pacientes con insuficiencia renal aguda (IRA) indudablemente se benefician del soporte nutricional pero desafortunadamente dicho soporte es limitado por terapias como la hemodiálisis intermitente, con pobre control de úrea y poca posibilidad de remosión de líquidos. Las terapias de reemplazo renal continuo (TRRC), permiten mejor control de líquidos, electrolitos y nitrógeno ureico sanguíneo, por lo tanto estos tipos de terapia hacen que las recomendaciones nutricionales sean un poco diferentes. De esta forma el soporte nutricional debe ser enfocado hacia el control de las deficiencias nutricionales, con base en las alteraciones metabólicas sin interferir con otros problemas clínicos de base y a la vez restaurar, o al menos disminuir el desgaste tisular de estos pacientes.
