Abstract

Using social networks and big data, psychometrics has implemented studies that can measure people ́s behavior through digital mechanisms. The operation carried out by this kind of works consists of generating profiles that allow to predict and classify people. The methods and procedures of these measurements are based on the correlation between signs and fingerprints in databases and then, to assign values that allow to measurable traits. What is problematic in these analyzes is the fact that subjectivity is affected by, at least, two ways: the profiles generated subsume the individuals and the subjectivities must be coupled to a normal. This article shows all these elements through the case of a psychometric measurement of the use of language chats via Facebook.
