La importancia del estudio del rol de la modalidad de presentación del discurso en la generación de inferencias causales

Resumen

El objetivo de este artículo es hacer un recorrido por una selección de temas que han sido explorados en relación con la generación de inferencias causales en la comprensión del discurso escrito, a fin de presentar estudios preliminares que han comenzado a indagar acerca de su rol en la comprensión del discurso hablado. Con este fin, se presentan resultados de estudios que se han enfocado en la generación de inferencias consideradas necesarias y opcionales, haciendo énfasis en la generación de inferencias que involucran el establecimiento de conexiones causales entre enunciados en la comprensión del discurso escrito. A su vez, se presentan estudios que han comenzado a poner a prueba el rol de la generación de inferencias causales en la comprensión del discurso hablado.
