The conflict: learning for coexistence or a scenario to exert the power of exclusion as punishment: The case of a Popular Sport School in corregimiento San Crist óbal , Medell ín, 2007-2008.
This article presents some of the findings of a qualitative case study "Dynamics of coexistence
generated by the Popular Sports Schools in the Corregimiento San Cristóbal, Medellín 20072007".
This study was conducted as part of the requirements to obtain the Master's degree in Collective Health.
The point of departure of the study was the authors' interest to know how sports, recreation, and physical education dynamize community wellbeing and strength the community's processes of coexistence, one of the main targets of Popular Sports Schools.
The research question leading the study focused on understanding which were the main dynamics related to coexistence generated by the Popular Sports Schools Program in San Cristóbal. The specific objectives of the study were to identify in the actions taken in the program those elements that dynamize coexistence and to describe the elements that generate dynamics of coexistence using the participants' voices.
