Reforma CurricularAbstract
Scientific and technical progress as we"; as socio-cultural transformations require a permanent adaptation of the University to the needs and demands of the community and of the professional practice. Starting with the antecedents and the critical aspects of the Biologic Reductionist Model, prevailing in contemporary medical practice, we express the need to prepare a general practitioner with a wider scope, whose practice takes into account, as basis for acting, the psycho-affective and socio-cultural aspects implicit in the health-disease process. We describe some methodological proposals that ought to be considered in designing our new curriculum, namely: diversification of information sources; proper selection of learning scenes; setting of knowledge priorities; early contact with the object of study and research training.
