La dermatitis atópica (DA) es una enfermedad crónica, que afecta aproximadamente al 10% de la población infantil y con frecuencia es la primera manifestación de atopia. Es muy común si asociación con otras enfermedades como la rinitis alérgica y el asma bronquial. Es una enfermedad multifactorial compleja, que típicamente tiende a comenzar en el primer año de vida.
