In this paper I insist on the general cognitive approach of science that has to integrate the descriptive, explanatory and technological dimension, with the four functional levels of the physical, the biological, the psychological and the social. I also insist on the need to define the object of study of explanatory psychology as association, in the functional context of the other sciences that define their formal causes as commutation, reaction and agreement, in these or other terms. I emphasize that the harmony that I believe there is, in general, between ecological psychology and naturalistic psychology makes it easier to talk about possible taxonomic integrations and touch on issues related to efficient determination, in differential and evolutionary explanatory psychology.
