The book Los indios del Cauca. Una construcción etnográfica (1890-1956) presents seven ethnographic articles on the Nasa and Misak ethnic groups. Cristóbal Gnecco, the compiler, accompanies the dossier with a critical introduction in which he points out the problems and biases of this classic perspective on disciplinary research and writing, including the objectification of indigenous peoples and their classification outside of historical dynamics. However, the book's pieces still possess academic value, and they must be understood as necessary contributions of the period in the construction of what we understand today as anthropology.
