La salud pública: ciencia en construcción

Se entiende en este artículo la salud pública como teoría y acción am la vez: recupera diferentes interpretaciones, en su concepción humanística, en su base científica y en su análisis político. Se resume en al idea de una nueva construcción académica y política de salud pública. Se intentan respuestas a la pregunta por la existencia de una nueva salud pública y se aborda desde diferentes perspectivas pero todas ellas en relación con el campo del conocimiento; inquiriendo lo paradigmas, el objeto y las disciplinas de apoyo y propende, finalmente desarrollar una veta de trabajo en el campo intelectual, con apoyo en la investigación y en la interpretación. Este hecho, como otros tantos se orienta hacia el proceso de construcción de esa salud pública; de ahí que finalmente se pasa sobre al pregunta inicial reconociendo sólo algunas tendencias nuevas en este campo pero insistiendo en reflexionar con mayor rigor acerca de esta transdisciplina, que se traduce en esfuerzos por asumir aun propia identidad, así como encontrar sus hilos conductores y procesos determinantes.
