Author Biography

Andres Lema-Hincapie, The University of Colorado Denver

Graduated in Philosophy from the Universidad del Valle, Colombia, Master in Philosophy from the University of Strasbourg, France, and in Romance Studies from Cornell University, United States. Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Ottawa, Canada, and in Romance Studies from Cornell University, United States. In 2003 he founded and currently directs the Instituto Amigos del Sur. In 2005 he was awarded the Stephen and Margery Russell Distinguished Teaching Award. Together with Professor Conrado Zuluaga, in 2009, he founded the Gabriel GarcíaMárquez Institute at the University of Colorado Denver
