Present state of videolaparascopic surgery

Laparascopic pracedures have begun to replace the conventional ones in arder to avoid major surgery and to allow an earlier recovery of the patlent. In thls article the present state of laparoscopic surgery is revlewed, concernlng the followlng entities: blliary surgery, peptlc ulcer, correction of gastroesophageal reflux and of esophageal motility problems, acute abdomen, ingulnal herniorrhaphy and colorectal surgery. Advantages and dlsadvantages are consldered both in general and for each speclflc case.
