Abstract

This study presents the connection between literary discourse, the cinematographic one and that of translation; by means of descriptive analysis of some excerpts of the literary piece "Charlie and the chocolate factory", its two cinematographic adaptations, and the Spanish subtitles of the second adaptation. Hence, it is possible to state some changes in the most relevant qualities of the characters, which may influence the message shown in the original literary work.
