Abstract

The article is focused on the development of the interdisciplinary approach of Cognitive Poetics and Translation Studies. The first two sections present the relationship of both fields, their theoretical basis, their objectives and the possibilities of the cognitive analysis in translation. The third section describes the case study of the cognitive and stylistic category of ambiguity and its translation in the artistic works of J.L.Borges.
