Abstract

The aim of this study is to reflect on a topic that for a long time has been neglected by translation studies researches, despite its crucial importance to the translation process: revision. First we address the issue of a clear definition for this term. Then, we discuss the different types of revision depending on the person or persons who perform the revision. Finally, we comment on the problem of objectivity in revision and present some revision guidelines proposed by two authors.
