Abstract

A responsible translator needs to be proficient in the languages involved in his task. The exercise of audiovisual translation demands that the translator is well acquainted with the day to day language register used by natives. The accessibility to specialized dictionaires dictionaries and glossaries is of great help indeed, to overcome the many obsctacles that the translator has to face continuously. But the essential skill the translator must have lies in his knowledge and active interaction with the foreign language that he is transposing to the target language.
