Author Biographies

Francisco Lafarga, University of Barcelona

Emeritus professor at the University of Barcelona and director, with Luis Pegenaute, of the Library of Spanish translations (portal of the Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library). He is the author, co-author and editor of various works such as: Fifty Studies on Spanish Translations (2011), Historical Dictionary of Translation in Spain (2009), History of Translation in Spain (2004), Spanish Translations of Víctor Hugo: Bibliographic Repertory ( 2002), etc. He is currently developing the research project Towards a history of translation in Hispano-America: historical dictionary of translation in Hispano-America.

Luis Pegenaute, Pompeu Fabra University

Doctor in Philology from the University of León. He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation of the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) and director, with Francisco Lafarga, of the Library of Spanish translations (portal of the Miguel de Cervantes Virtual Library).
