Abstract

This article shows the development and results of the research entitled On the evaluation of curriculum renewal implementation since 1997 at the University of Antioquia, whose objective,  as  its  name  states,  was  the  evaluation  of  curriculum  renewal programs undergraduate central headquarters of the University of Antioquia, during the period 1997 to 2009. This research was carried out in two stages, the first, a study whose objective was to file inquire about the concepts behind the curriculum renewal in different degree programs, for  which  were  collected  and  compared  the  documents  that  supported  the  reforms  the curriculum. With the obtained concepts-flexibility, interdisciplinarity, articulation of the theory and  practice,  comprehensive  training,  relevance,  and  cross-disciplinary  research  training-questions  were  designed  assessment  instruments.  The  second  was  the  field  where  applied curriculum  assessment  tools  for  students  and  teachers  from  different  academic  departments, which   was   verified   in   the   development   of   curriculum   renewal,   then   interpret,   since hermeneutics, this  information and become a unit of meaning on the  research  culture that has invaded our university curricula.
