Abstract

The work “Translation studies in Brazil in the 20th and 21st centuries” organized by Andréia Guerini, Marie-Hélène Torres and Walter Carlos Costa was published by PGET (Postgraduate Studies in Translation Studies) of the UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) in 2013 in the city of Florianópolis, Brazil. The text is made up of a collection of 12 articles written by 23 professors and researchers specialized in different areas of the field, for which Brazilians have adopted, as in Colombia, the term translation, a campaign that maintains the name given by Holmes.
