Abstract

This article deals with the elements involved in the translation process from French into Spanish of Saint-Exupéry, tel que je l'ai connu by Léon Werth. As far as the original, we deal with its antecedents and its contents, and also with the philosophical, ethical, and literary problems in which the author was interested. As far as the translation, we deal with the translator's point of view, his hermeneutical horizon, the obstacles he had to overcome while doing his task. We have used "dialogue" following the nature of the texts that compose the original: letters and articles, with which the author continues his dialogue with his friend and with his work. We have used "posthumous", because it was a matter of expressing plainly a translator's desire: to continue in this new dimension -temporary and textual- the fruitful dialogue that death has interrupted.
