We are glad to announce that Professor Luanda Sito has taken the reins of Ikala to lead it in a new phase.

Luanda has a Magister and PhD in Applied Linguistics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (SP), Brazil, and is a newly tenured professor at our School of Languages. Luanda has agreed to take the baton from Professor Doris Correa, but she is not alien to the editorial work since she has extensive experience in publishing and was a guest editor to our 2019 special issue Literacy Studies in Latin America (vol. 24, is. 2). We are deeply grateful to Professor Correa for what seems now in retrospective as a quantum leap in terms of management, organization and academic writing expertise. She is leaving us to undertake another ambitious project at our University. Learn more
