Scopus

A scientific abstract and citation database. It covers approximately 18,000 titles from over 5,000 international editors, including 16,500 peer-reviewed journals from the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, arts, and humanities. It is edited and managed by Elsevier, and can be accessed on the web by subscribers. Search on Scopus incorporate scientific web pages queries through Scirus, also by Elsevier, and patent databases.

An online scientific electronic library for Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, and Portugal. It was created by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). SciELO Colombia is managed by the National University of Colombia.

Dialnet

Its free access database makes up a digital serials library containing indices of scientific and humanistic journals from Spain, Portugal, and Latin America, including books (monographs), doctoral dissertations, conference proceedings, homages and other sort of documents. The complete text of many documents is available on line.
It was created by the University of La Rioja (Spain), and it has the collaboration of a number of Spanish and Hispanic American universities and public/specialized libraries that feed their journals’ abstracts. It also fetches databases with documents in other languages.

REDIB

This platform gathers scientific and academic contents in electronic format coming from Ibero-America. This information is intended for both the academic community and society at large, as well as holders, managers, and analysts of scientific policies.

MIAR

 

It is a database gathering together key information for journal identification and analysis. These are grouped in large scientific areas, which are in turn subdivided in more specific fields. The system creates a correspondence matrix between journals, identified by their ISSN and databases and repositories indexing or including them. Additionally, the links of publishers’ web sites are included, along with the websites of repositories and sources, as long as they are available.

The Norwegian Social Science Data Service (NSD) is a national resource centre servicing the research community. Its main aim is to provide the Norwegian research community with easy access to data, and other related services, such as Norwegian Research Database (NFI), which documents research projects and related publications in the fields of social sciences, humanities, medicine, environment, research, and development.

LLBA

Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA) contains bibliographic references on linguistics and other language-related disciplines. It covers all of the aspects of the study of language, including phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics. It provides abstracts and citations from papers extracted from over 1,500 publications. However, links for the complete texts are given only when the University library has an online subscription to the publication.

 

ULRICH: International Periodical Directory

Ulrich’s periodical publications directory is a bibliographic database providing detailed, complete and authorized information from publications from all over the world. It covers all topics including both regular and irregular periodicals.
