Construção verbal em narrações de estudantes surdos, usuários da língua de sinais chilena

A pesquisa apresentada neste artigo teve como objetivo a descrição das formas verbais léxicas como recursos discursivo-gramaticais presentes em relatos de experiência pessoal de usuários da língua de sinais chilena. Para isso, utilizou-se uma metodologia predominantemente qualitativa, com coleta de dados em espaços ecologicamente válidos e um planejamento de pesquisa transseccional descritivo. O corpus linguístico esteve conformado por 42 textos narrativos, produzidos por 14 estudantes surdos, com diferentes anos de imersão na língua. Identificaram-se 1052 formas verbais léxicas, onde as mais frequentes foram as formas verbais plenas, e as menos frequentes, as formas verbais especiais. Os estudantes com mais anos de experiência linguística utilizam mais formas verbais, fato que se potencia se também cursam níveis escolares mais avançados. Esses resultados sugerem que com maior imersão em língua de sinais, poderia ser melhor o desempenho psicolinguístico dos estudantes surdos, com implicações sociais e educativas para o desenvolvimento das pessoas surdas. Por outra parte, este estudo contribui na descrição da língua de sinais chilena e em propor as primeiras diretrizes para os estudos da aquisição e o desenvolvimento da mesma. Além disso, contribui nos processos de formação tanto das pessoas surdas como também dos docentes e profissionais que trabalham na aula.
