The Memoirs of Bernardo Vega are constructed through a series of strategies that force the reader to imagine them as literature, as a paradoxical linguistic artifact that draws attention to the thematic coherence of a series of historical events of a community and the logic of the life of an individual whose existence is shaped in accordance with the former. To this intertwining of social destiny and individual adventure narrated, correspond structurally some forms of narration that trace the drawing of the figures that represent it. In this way a rhetorical order is achieved, in the classical and fertile sense of the generating possibilities that rhetoric represents for the knowledge or reification of reality.
