Une étude des attitudes face au langage dans deux îles où on parle le creole: San Andres et Providence (Colombie)

L'objectif de cette étude a été d'évaluer les attitudes linguistiques dans les îles de San Andres et Providence (Colombie) dans une perspective comparative. Les variables sociolinguistiques analysées ont été l'âge, le genre, l'ethnicité, l'occupation, le lieu de résidence ainsi que la connaissance des langues. Les participants sur les deux îles ont montré des attitudes semblables, favorables dans l'ensemble, envers les trois langues (anglais standard des Caraïbes, créole insulaire et espagnol colombien) et envers le multilinguisme.
