O Uso de legendas passivas e ativas no ensino de línguas estrangeiras: uma revisão das possibilidades didáticas de ambos os recursos

Resumo

Trás anos de rejeição e críticas que associavam seu aspecto lúdico com possíveis distrações dentro da aula, nas últimas décadas a tradução audiovisual tem sido aceita como uma ferramenta para a aprendizagem de línguas. As necessidades reais demostraram que assistir produtos audiovisuais legendados ajuda na aquisição e o aperfeiçoamento de línguas e que, portanto, tem cabida nas aulas. Recentemente, deu-se um passo mais na exploração desse recurso, passando das legendas passivas às ativas, e tornando o agente receptor, neste caso o estudante da língua estrangeira, um agente produtor de legendas. Neste artigo, expõem-se as categorias mais comuns e o modo em que se trabalha com cada uma delas, realiza-se uma revisão das possibilidades didáticas de ambas as atividades, analisam-se benefícios da legendagem ativa e apresentam-se alguns programas de legendagem que possibilitam o uso dessa ferramenta didática.
