Rumo ao uso da Instrução Centrada na Forma no Ensino-aprendizagem de Línguas Estrangeiras na Colômbia

Resumo

Este artigo procura motivar uma reflexão ao redor do significado e o potencial da instrução centrada na forma, como uma alternativa para melhorar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras em jovens e adultos aprendizes na Colômbia. Inicialmente, apresentam-se o conceito e os tipos de instrução centrados na forma, seguidos de uma breve justificativa para essa instrução, junto com o que alguns estudos dessa área têm revelado. Da mesma maneira, discute-se como esse tipo de instrução pode ajudar os estudantes de inglês como língua estrangeira, especialmente os aprendizes jovens e adultos, para se comunicar com sucesso, ao mesmo tempo em que adquirem um conhecimento das formas linguísticas de tal idioma. Por último, discutem-se as implicações pedagógicas e entregam-se sugestões em relação com o uso da instrução centrada na forma no contexto colombiano.

holds a Master’s degree in English from Governors State University and a Master’s degree in TESOL from the University of Brighton. He currently works as assistant professor of English and English literature at Universidad Surcolombiana, Neiva–Colombia
